Hornets welcomed seconded placed Arrow to Little Perdiswell today and having lost 1-4 earlier in the season it looked a tough task to end their 7 match winless run.
With the Yellow and Black conceding most of the possession in the first half the game was fairly even chances wise until Arrow scored from looping header after 25 mins.
5 mins after that Hornets were back on level terms with Ben Runham following up a Bri Lavell shot to steer his shot past the covering defender and into the net.
Arrow then took the lead again just before half time with an excellent strike into the top corner.
Hornets went out with the same positive attitude in the second half and again held their own until a poorly defended corner saw Arrow go 1-3 up.
A change in formation and personnel couldn’t kick start Hornets into life and the game looked like it was going to be played out when a bizarre two minutes saw the Yellow and Black conceded two poor goals to put the game well beyond them.
1-5 was flattering on Arrow but at the same time it was a game that if Hornets could have gone up a gear they may have got a point from it.
