In the first competitive Sunday League action this year – indeed, since the start of December – Hornets were unable to get a result at home to Clifton Rovers.

It was a tight affair and a simple mishap late into first half stoppage time that gave the visitors the only goal of the game.

Hornets came close, Mark Walker rattling the crossbar towards the end of the match but they were unable to find the back of the net.

Weather permitting, the schedule should be back to normal service, although the rain coming in from the blizzard that hit North America this weekend may have something to say about that.
