Hornets and the Reserves both picked up wins at the weekend. The first team were at Malvern and didn’t they know it! Late challenges, shoves in the back and all on a field that resembled the a beach at Normandy. Despite going a goal down, Hornets battled hard and saw them steal two goals, a lob from Danny B and a cheeky header from Ben Williams.

The match was marred at the end when Malvern let their tempers get the better of them and saw two players sent off for violent conduct, directed at the referee!

Over at Little Perdiswell, the Reserves faced Droitwich Spa Eagles Reserves and with five minutes to go the score was tied at three goals each. It was then the cripple, Rick Holloway, who hobbled onto the pitch and leathered home the winning goal.

Another happy weekend for the Hornets who will hope this has turned their season around.
